At Macabane, our furniture is made from solid, durable materials. Designed to stand the test of time and offer you quality.

At Macabane, we use recycled wood, a material steeped in history and character.

This wood comes from old houses, boat hulls and other objects that have stood the test of time. Before being incorporated into our designs, it is carefully recovered, sorted, cleaned and sanded by hand.

Each board retains the traces of its past life : knots, cracks, variations in colour and small imperfections are all part of its charm. These irregularities are not flaws, but marks of authenticity.

Choosing a piece of furniture made from recycled wood means choosing a sustainable, environmentally friendly material and a unique piece rich in history and emotion.

Le pin est un bois robuste, apprécié pour son esthétique chaleureuse, aux teintes allant du jaune clair au brun rosé, avec des veines marquées.

Concrete

Concrete

Our FRC concrete furniture is made from natural materials: granite powder, Portland cement, nylon mesh and water. Concrete, like wood and stone, is a naturally porous material.

  • The concrete is treated with a water-based pore filler and then waxed with paraffin.
  • After waxing, do not place anything on the surface for 6 to 12 hours to allow the wax to penetrate properly.
  • Clean with mild soap (such as black soap) and water.
  • Avoid abrasive products, bleach, ammonia or citrus-based products.
  • Do not place hot or damp objects directly on the surface. Use placemats and table mats.
  • Re-wax every 3 to 6 months to maintain protection.
  • Outdoors, cover and raise the furniture to prevent moisture.
  • Wipe immediately. The wax provides effective protection, but prolonged exposure to fatty or acidic substances may cause stains or discolouration.
  • If necessary, reapply a thin layer of wax.
